TG Comics Renewed

TG Comics has become the most important destination for gender-mix comics, with a wealth of both hand drawn and computer designed stories and illustrations.

Now Femur & Co have redesigned the site.

Femur says;
"The main changes here are we now have an Authors tab, so TGC Authors can be easily found and get some love! We also have a new category of galleries called Story Panels. These are what Tebra does, telling a story with a combination of art, text, and balloons. It’s not necessarily a sequential story, it might not be the whole story, but there is a story there.

"Vignettes has a new definition on the new TGC. We’ll use that for shorter comics (generally under 20 pages) and comics that are more quick studies rather than complete stories. I hope that makes sense."

The galleries now work on pads and phones as well as computers. You can click on and image to move to the next one, use keyboard navigation, tap or swipe (depending on the specific gallery set-up).

And yes, all the premium, subscription based , content is still there. There is much that is free too, however.

New Transgender Film 'The Danish Girl'

Currently in production The Danish Girl starring Eddie Redmayne. In the film, Redmayne, 33, portrays Lili Elbe (born Einar Wegener), one of the first people to undergo sex reassignment surgery. “The Danish Girl” follows the relationship between Redmayne’s character and wife Gerda, played by Alicia Vikander, during the transition, which took place in the 1920s.

TG News Award Nominee: Samantha de Savory's TGirl Captions

In February we asked you to nominate TG blogs for the TG News Award. We now present the nominees in a series of blog posts.

Samantha de Savory's TGirl Captions is labeled as "a blog for beauty and perversion, for those who like looking, dreaming and becoming" -- women that is.

Samantha has her own distinctive style. She often select stunning and creative photos, adding her typical design: a colorful frame, one or two boxes with text. There are also longer stories, made as series of captions.

And yes, then there is her very special sense of humor.

TG News Award Nominee: Mindy Z

In February we asked you to nominate TG blogs for the TG News Award. We will now present the nominees in a series of blog posts.

Mindy Z makes use of Comic Life, I believe, to make her TG captions. Basically, she takes one or many well chosen photos and turn them into a comic page like composition with colorful speech bubbles.

It is amazing to see how much information she is able to include in such captions.

TG News Award Nominee: The Voluptuous Museum

In February we asked you to nominate TG blogs for the TG News Award. We will now present the nominees in a series of blog posts.

The Voluptuous Museum is a tumblr blog and The Curvy Shade uses it as such, publishing her own caps in between republishing content made by others.

The blog is, as the name implies, focused on one topic: the heavenly curves of women.

The stories goes beyond the simple short scenery approach and gives you more to reflect on. Moreover, Shade has a good eye for design, using elements and colors from the photo in the presentation of text.
