TG News Award Nominee: The Body Hopper's Nebula.

In February we asked you to nominate TG blogs for the TG News Award. We will now present the nominees in a series of blog posts.

The Body Hopper's Nebula is different, and different in many ways.

First of all most of the captions are based on the body hopper theme, where some kind of entity, alien or human, takes over the body of a woman. And the caps are written from the point of view of a male observer who remains male. Interesting.

The caption maker has also found her own style, simplistic but elegant. She has also introduced a TG caption innovation, where she includes info on sources in the cap itself.

The captions are soft core, although maybe not office friendly.

TG News Award Nominee: Body Swap Fiction

In February we asked you to nominate TG blogs for the TG News Award. We will now present the nominees in a series of blog posts.

Body Swap Fiction is, as the creator says, a  blog devoted to "tg captions, stories and erotica with m2f body swaps, magical transformations, identity theft, possession."

So it is!  The captioneer makes use of a clean captioning style, most often with the classic two field design: image to the left, text to the right. However, there are also subtle, but elegant, variations: text on transparent backgrounds and so on.

There is also a parallel tumblr blog, and the creator, M, has published short stories.

TG News Award Nominee: The Femme Side

In February we asked you to nominate TG blogs for the TG News Award. We will now present the nominees in a series of blog posts.

The Femme Side is not only a caption blog. thefemmeside also answers questions about going femme/sissy and crossdressing.

The captions are clean and traditional: Most often with an image to the left and the text in black on gray to the right. The focus is on the photos and the text.

thefemmeside writes on a wide variety of topics, but the main focus is on "natural" feminization and sissyfication, including pictures of pre-op t-girls. There are not many magical changes here.

Unlike most TG bloggers, who publish over at blogger, thefemmeside has made tumblr her home.

TG News Award Nominee: Modern Goddess

In February we asked you to nominate TG blogs for the TG News Award. We will now present the nominees in a series of blog posts.

Modern Goddess is a blog made by Mistress Simone, another experienced blogger and captioner.

Simone creates a balanced mix of explicit and "implicit" imagery, one page captions and series.

Simone is what I call a caption designer. She spends a lot of time on the typography, the balance of the various elements making up the caption.

She even makes a separate cut out image for the home page that presents the gist of the story and entices people to explore the blog further.

Simone has also an image stream over at tumblr.

TG News Award Nominee: NIkki's Sweet Dreams

In February we asked you to nominate TG blogs for the TG News Award. We will now present the nominees in a series of blog posts.

The first nominee is Nikki's Sweet Dreams, one of the classic TG caption blogs, started all the way back in 2008.

Nikki stopped blogging back in 2014, but has now resurrected the blog and is posting on a regular basis.

Nikki goes for a simplistic, classic, caption style: one image or a series of files with single images. Then she adds well written texts in a plain and readable  sans serif typeface.

In other words: Nothing gets in the way of the story and the image.

Lately she has started using animated gifs as well. It works well!

Nikki mixes soft core with sexually explicit imagery, and often adds a dash of humor, as this cap may prove:

New British movie covers MTF feminization

A new British movie presents the story of a boy being feminized by an older man.

The producers give the following summary of the plot:

"Unconditional is a darkly humorous psycho-romance about 16-year old twins Owen and Kristen who are so wrapped up in their own world that they’re misfits in the real one. They spend their days caring for their disabled mum Maureen. It’s actually fun although they long for escape. And along comes Liam – 20s, tough, charming, full velocity, genuinely cool. Kristen fancies him with the intensity of someone in a fairytale. Then Liam takes Owen out drinking. Owen knows as much about pubs as Kristen does about men. They go back to Liam’s flat where he pulls out a set of designer women’s clothes and, “just for a laugh”, gets Owen to wear them. It’s a Cinderella moment. Owen finds Liam and the world instantly attracted to him. Liam isn’t a monster, he’s a romantic, offering unconditional love, on one condition: Owen takes his sister Kristen’s name and identity."

But what are the best blogs for transformation erotica and captions? New ones are popping up all the time and it can be hard to keep up with them all.

Transgender woman lands $100,000 book deal

Times Free Press reports that Meredith Russo, a trans woman from Chattanooga, has won a US$ 100,000 book deal for a new young adult novel called If I Was Your Girl.

Times Free Press reports:

"Russo hopes her novel — which was bought by Flatiron after Russo submitted the first third of it to the publisher — will help transgender youth who feel alone and not accepted in any community by giving them a relatable heroine who is fun, interesting and empowered. She also hopes the plot will prompt transgender youths to use the book as a tool to plan for their next steps into the future rather than being trapped in an unfriendly present."

Moon on how taking estrogen has helped her cope with feminization fantasies

Moon has an interesting post over at Crossdreamers on how taking estrogen -- i.e. a lighter form of feminization -- has helped her cope with her anxiety and the more obsessive side of having dreams about becoming a woman.

She starts out by explaining how she has been "mistaken" for a woman in public:

For a reason you can't explain you have this desire to feminise yourself. You have had thoughts which have driven you crazy, you somehow know that this is what you want deep inside. You want to be a woman. Yet you do fear the unknown of the rather frightening path that you are taking. The future of crossdressing in Osaka

Japanese culture is -- in spite of its sexual repressing and strange hang-ups -- a country full of gender bending. Now they are founding "Girl's Clubs", where anyone can dress up as girls.

Rocketnews reports that Tokyo’s Onna no ko kurabu opens a new crossdresser bar in Osaka on December 1.

The bar will "have a wardrobe of women’s clothing and wigs available for guests who want to try out ‘josou’ (dressing in girls’ clothing). Just like their Tokyo branch, the Osaka store is open to anyone who wants to drink with cute crossdressing bar staff."

Amazing Transformation Comics

Amazing Transformation Comics is a new online story devoted to comics in the realm of TG transformations, sissyfication, feminization and shemales.

Most of the comics are digital art, but there are also some hand drawn stories.

The image included here is from Herms in Peril 2, a 62 page full standalone color comic.

When a swimsuit model is kidnapped by aliens she discovers they have more ideas in mind for her than simple probing, they want to transform her into something else altogether, a sexy shemale.

TG Caps' Gender Mix Twists

TG Comics is, by far, the most important TG comics site around. What is less known is that this site has a smaller sibling called TG Caps.

TG Caps is, as the name implies, a site for TG captions, but what makes it different is that the focus here is on drawings, including fan art based on pop culture. There are, for instance, a lot of highly entertaining modified comics and comic book covers.

Here is one panel from IanS' comic about a young man that ends up body swapping with Batgirl.

New site for erotic TG photo comics

When Rebecca's World closed down earlier this year, the main source of erotic TG photo comics disappeared.

Now a group of creative TG enthusiasts have decided to resurrect the genre, producing new tantalising stories about magical transformation and chemically induced gender changes. They call themselves the TG Factory.

The plan is to publish one or two comics per month. There are already two publications ready for reading. A longer story called The Reversal, about a shy guy who has his body stolen by an alien.

Then there is the first issue of Fluxx/Mag, containing no less than three shorter photo comics.

'I felt like a guy in a Playboy bunny outfit': Jenny McCarthy feeling 'transgender'

Jenny McCarthy has revealed that she feels like a transgender person 'inside'.

In an interview with PrideSource, the Dirty, Sexy, Funny comedienne spoke about playing a transgender role in the TV series Just Shoot Me!

Explaining why the role of Brandi (formerly Burt) is her favourite ever, the 41-year-old said: 'Yeah, because I feel like that inside.' 

'I always felt like one of the guys wearing, like, a Playboy bunny outfit.'

Adding: 'To play kind of the dude was almost too scary natural'.

Jenny - who recently married New Kids on the Block singer Donnie Wahlberg, 45 - also revealed she would 'love' her son Evan to be gay.

'Oh my god, I would be so excited. We can shop! Do my hair!' she laughed.

Tranisa has added three new TG movies to its transformation and crossdressing treasure chest

And as chests go, some of the ones presented in these movies are... eh ... generous!

Women prefer gay porn to straight female friendly erotica

In collaboration with BuzzFeed, porn search engine Pornhub has published a study examining data on users' viewing habits, with a specific focus on what women are looking for.

The chart below shows the top 16 most-viewed categories of porn on Pornhub.

Note that women seem to prefer lesbian and gay male porn above all other types of movies, which tells me that women are more queer and gender bending than most people tend to believe.

There is a a thriving industry for TG erotica for women, labelled as yaoi comics, M/M romances and slash fan fiction, and I suspect this enthusiasm may be partly explained by women's general love for same sex erotica. It could be that for many women TG fiction -- in the wide sense of the term -- is something common and normal.

There is admittedly less focus on transformations in these genres compared to male to female TG fiction, but that might be because becoming a man for a woman is less stigmatizing than a man becoming a woman. So the women just jump the good stuff: Having steamy sex as a man. Men need to be forced into gender bending, which makes the change itself erotically charged.

I am sure experts will tell you that none of this makes these women gender benders. They are just more into "tenderness" than the male audience, hence the preference for lesbian and gay porn. They clearly haven't seen any gay porn.

The interesting question should be: Given that women love both lesbian and gay porn, why aren't there more straight men watching gay porn? Are they conditioned not to?

TG Fantasy Fiction: The Misadventures of Ka-Ron the Knight

The fantasy genre gives ample room for the exploration of cross-gender fantasies, and some authors have done so in the most fascinating ways.

Donald Allen Kirch lives in Kansas City, Missouri. He is an avid reader of history, Sherlock Holmes Mysteries, and the paranormal. He has a degree in Radio and Television Arts. He has written several books, some of them touching upon magic and the paranormal.

And yes, he has written a series of four fantasy books about Ka-Ron, the manly knight, who due to an untimely curse is doomed to spend much time as a buxom female.

He has created a rich and imaginative universe, where traditional fantasy elements meet steam punk  machinery.

Traditional fantasy figures are turned into something unusual and interesting. The dwarves are, for instance, in no way what you would expect them to be. Nor are the elves or the vampires.

The transformation element is essential to the books. Still, that does not mean that they can be reduced to TG fiction. The Nown World Chronicles are much more than that, richer and -- in many ways -- darker. The books can at time be very violent, and there are no easy ways out for our protagonists.

This is not a political drama in the Game of Throne sense. Nor do the books present the existential depth found in the books of Robin Hobbs. This is action-filled entertainment -- nothing more and nothing less.

Kirch says he is working on a new trilogy on Ka-ron. Those books, however, are to be prequels to the Nown World Chronicles, so it is unclear whether they will include gender bending of the sort found here.

Transparent New Series About Late in Life Sexual Transition

From Advocate : Jill Soloway's transgender TV project gets picked up for a season with promises of more trans characters.

Streaming television is about to get more Transparent, as Amazon Studios announced Monday that it picked up the family drama about a late-in-life transgender woman struggling to come out to her grown children. Written, directed, and produced by Jill Soloway (Six Feet Under, The United States of Tara) and starring Jeffrey Tambor as Maura, Transparent will see a full 10-episode run, available for purchase or streaming on Amazon's Prime Instant Video service.

Forced Sexchange Story May Be Filmed

Film-maker Sir Peter Jackson is reportedly considering making a movie based on the experience of a Canadian man who a New Zealand doctor tried unsuccessfully to turn into a woman.

After a botched circumcision operation in the mid-1960s, psychologist 

and sexologist John Money, with the approval of then-seven month old David Reimer's parents, tried to convert the boy into a girl through 

gender realignment surgery. The parents then raised their son as a girl 

who they called Brenda.

However, his re-built physiognomy was at variance with his natural gender and he never identified as a girl. At age 15 Reimer, increasingly experiencing extreme psychological trauma, transitioned to living as a male. He died suddenly in 2005 at age 38.

Jackson has told the Sunday Star Times he is inclined to make another New Zealand-themed or -linked movie soon. His last was Heavenly Creatures in 1994, a movie which carried undertones of sexuality issues. He describes Money as "the doctor who was the cause of that family's misery."
